How state money works
IGR (taxes, fees and fines raised in the state) plus a weekly federal allocation (FAAC) go into the treasury. The Governor splits it between power, roads, the airport, the stadium, security, youth grants, festivals and their own salary (max 30%).

Vote for anyone from your state. The winner earns a big weekly salary, picks a focus that boosts an industry by 20% and rallies the whole state.
Beat your rival
Every state has a rival: Lagos vs Abuja, Kano vs Kaduna, Rivers vs Delta. Whoever grows more each week wins and can taunt the other.
Win the season
Four-week seasons with a theme. Everyone from the top 3 states gets a cash prize, and the richest state each quarter is crowned Economic Capital.

What is the Hometown Economy League?
A live competition between all 36 Nigerian states and Abuja. Players build businesses and homes, fund state projects and recruit friends to grow their state's in-game GDP. The richest state is crowned Nigeria's Economic Capital.
Why is Lagos on top?
Every state starts with a head start based on its real-life economy, so Lagos leads at first. The head start shrinks every month, so states with active players can overtake it.
Can one rich player win it for their state?
No. Each player's buildings only count up to a limit plus a share of what everyone else built, so states win through teamwork.
How do Governor elections work?
Every week, players vote for anyone else from their own state. The person with the most votes is Governor for the next week. Every player can vote for anyone else from their state, one vote per week.
Is it free?
Yes. Hometown is free to play in your browser on any phone or computer, with no download.
